Miijalisa has been a familiar face and experienced finiancial expert with Members Cooperative Credit Union since October 1995. Born and raised along the Lake Superior's North Shore, Miijalisa has made Duluth her home for most of her life.
She's an avid volunteer. She currently serves as treasurer for the Duluth Boys Wolfpack Lacrose Booster Club. And she loves volunteering for many of the MCCU sponsored events around the Duluth area.
Miijalisa and her husband have one son who recently gradauted from Duluth East High School and is attending the College of Saint Scholastica for Exercise Science. They are very proud of his accomplishment in making Eagle Rank in September 2024.
Outside of work, Miijalisa enjoys spending time with her husband relaxing at their cabin on Floodwood Lake, where they like to spend time on the water, either fishing or just enjoying a ride on the pontoon. They can also be found with their ATVs on the many trails in the area.
"Working in the mortgage department since 2015, I have formed a strong bond with my members by getting to know them," says Miijalisa. "I enjoy the opportunity to build relationships and find a solution that works for them."
MCCU lends to Minnesota and Wisconsin residents only and property used for mortgage security must be within the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Membership and loan approval are required.

PATRIOT ACT: Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
